Sydney Thurman-Baldwin is the 2017-2018 Black Law Students Association’s Treasurer. Sydney is passionate about international politics, environmental law and social justice. Sydney received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Politics and Linguistics from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She also attended the University of Amsterdam and Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. In undergrad, Sydney served as Co-President of the Black Student Union. As a 1L at UM, Sydney became an active member of several student organizations. As a 2L, Sydney is serving as Christian Legal Society’s Co-President, International Legal Society’s Parliamentarian and a member of the Honor Council. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering and traveling.
