Julianne Valdes is a third-year law student at Florida International University College of Law. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Julianne studied Psychology at Bucknell University where she served as captain of the women’s water polo team and graduated with honors. While conducting research on campus about sexual assault, Julianne first realized her affinity for law and social justice and decided to further her studies by going to law school. At FIU, Julianne has interned with the Hon. Antonio Arzola of Miami-Dade’s Eleventh Judicial Circuit and served as a law clerk for firms specializing in sports and entertainment law and family law. She currently serves as Vice President of Women’s Law Society and Disability Rights Law Association.
