Eduardo Reyes Chavez

Third-Year Law Student, Northwestern University School of Law and Chairperson, National Latina/o Law Students Association (Chicago, Illinois)

Eduardo Reyes Chavez is a third-year law student at Northwestern University School of Law and is currently serving as Chair of the National Latina/o Law Student Association (NLLSA). He served as Co-President of the Latino Law Students Association and was Co-Founder of the Chicagoland Latin American Student Society. During the summer after his first year of law school, Mr. Reyes Chavez interned at the National Immigrant Justice Center/Heartland Alliance in Chicago. After his second year, her worked as a summer associate at Helsell Fetterman LLP in Seattle. Today, Mr. Reyes Chavez is serving as a legal extern for a federal district court judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Mr. Reyes Chavez graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Utah with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2012. During college, Eduardo completed many internships including one at the European Parliament (Brussels), Ibarra Strategy Group/Latino Leaders Network (Washington D.C.), and Grupo Estrategia PolĂ­tica (Mexico City). He is a Fellow for the Council on Legal Education Opportunity and a Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program scholar.
