Professor Angelique Ortega Fridman is a member of the founding faculty at the FIU College of Law. Professor Ortega Fridman graduated first in her class from the University of Florida, and was co-valedictorian of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School. After law school, Professor Ortega Fridman clerked for the Honorable Stanley Marcus on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and served for five years as an Assistant County Attorney in the Miami-Dade County Attorney’s Office. From 2001-2002, Professor Ortega Fridman was an adjunct legal writing instructor at the St. Thomas University School of Law, and from 2006-2007, Professor Ortega Fridman was a Professor of Legal Rhetoric at American University’s Washington College of Law. In 2005, the students at the FIU College of Law awarded her The Pioneer Award in recognition of her commitment and service to the FIU College of Law.
